THE APPROACH
We had the opportunity to work closely with Splash, a crypto trading social platform with a mission to demystify the complexities of crypto and make it accessible to everyone. Our brand strategy for Splash was centred around trusted connections, community-driven values, and accessibility, as we aimed to create a strong foundation for Splash’s purpose of being the centre of everyone’s crypto experience. Throughout the brand development process, we conducted workshops to uncover strategic insights for Splash’s brand. Taking inspiration from emoji aesthetics, we created a brand identity that was bright, playful, and interactive. This included designing a unique logo, five 3D landing pages that drew inspiration from Splash’s community “pools,” and a suite of 30 emojis for users to use in their conversations on the platform. The emoji design was a crucial element of the brand identity, as it aimed to bridge the gap between Web2 nostalgia and Web3 aesthetics. We carefully crafted the emojis to be unique to the Splash brand, while also being recognisable and relatable to users. Our goal was to infuse fun and engagement into the emoji library, reflecting Splash’s brand personality and tone, and encouraging users to incorporate them in their conversations on the platform. Overall, our brand strategy and design work for Splash focused on creating a seamless user experience, removing barriers to entry for crypto investment, and fostering a sense of community and trust among users. The brand identity, including the emoji design, played a significant role in conveying Splash’s values, purpose, and accessibility, making it an engaging and user-friendly platform for crypto enthusiasts of all levels of experience.
